I Can`t Think Of A Better Spanish Book Than This One.

One of the first books I ever bought to learn spanish. This book was originally written in 1955 but has been updated, revised and expanded. It really does make spanish easy to learn but you must take the time to study the book at least an hour per day. The author`s method for teaching you Spanish is very effective and impressive even by today`s standards even though it was written in the 50s. If something is good, it`s good no matter when it was made. I have read and studied many, many spanish books in my quest to become fluent and this book is the first book I would recommend to any beginner or intermediate learner and even advanced spanish students will learn plenty of spanish grammer and vocabulary here. In fact, I recently bought myself a new copy and started studying it again. I wanted to refresh myself on the lessons contained herein and I find that I am being reminded of many words and expressions that I forgot about and I am learning lots of new spanish. That`s what inspired me to write a review and tell people about this most excellent book for starting your spanish education and working your way up to fluency.

I am disappointed with the author of this book

I am disappointed with the author of this book. First of all you should illustrates a South America flag and not a Spain flag in your book. Because our phonetic is totally different. Spanish language comes from Castilian and like always people want to devaluate the European Spanish culture. We have 29 letters in our alphabet (A,B,C,CH,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,LL,M,N,�,O,P,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W,X,Y,Z), each one have a different sounds. The author is using the same sound for the letter C, S and Z, big mistake. You are still using the same sound for B and V, another big mistake. Please these is so disrespectful for our culture. At least change book's cover and put a South American flag. Your cover is misleading people.

Font size has limits with the electronic version for kindle.

Text seems well planned (haven't gotten too far along yet!). I bought this for the kindle, so my review is on the electronic version of the book. The option to change font size does NOT work properly and if you make the font larger the display just runs out of sight. Changing the kindle to landscape helps a bit to get a larger view without each sentence running out of sight, but there are still limits to how big you can make the text. (Making the text larger is one of the best things about electronic formats - if your eyes are tired you can still read!) I was a bit disappointed in this, there does not seem to be any way to scroll over and see the rest of the text if you have enlarged the font (using kindle voyage). I have tried playing with options for margins and line spacing but nothing I have done allows the font to go beyond a certain size before it just cuts off the end of all the sentences of the page (instead of moving them down so you can continue reading).
