Disappointed.

I laughed when I received this book as it is about the size of a “Little Golden Books�” that you can buy for about 2 to 3 dollars. I will grant you that it has a better binding than a “Little Golden Books�”, however, for the price I paid $21.08; I believe it is drastically overpriced. Obviously, I did not read the description, as the book is only 24 pages; my mistake. I wanted to give this book to my Grandchildren and would have done so if it were perhaps $5.00. I feel like a fool for not reading the description and will be returning this book.

Interesting book with photos

I ordered this for my class because our grade level was teaching Christmas Around the World. This book puts things in simple terms for young children. Each page has a heading and photos. It tells about some of the Christmas songs written by Germans, the foods they eat at Christmas, and some of their traditions. This book provided an easy discussion and comparison of the similarities and differences in our Christmas and a German Christmas.
For teachers - On youtube you will find a German Christmas song that goes well with this book. It's "O Tannenbaum". We also had German spice cookies that can be found at Walgreens. The students really enjoyed our lesson.

The atlas is organized by the general categories of “Nondiagnostic,” “Benign,” “Follicular Neoplasm/Suspicious for a Follicular Neoplasm”, “Suspicious for Malignancy,” and “Malignant,” and it includes the defi- tions and morphologic criteria of these categories as set forth by Baloch et al. The majority of the conference participants also agreed on a category of “undetermined significance,” which is incorporated in this atlas (Chap. 4). It is critical that the cytopathologist communicate thyroid FNA interpretations to the referring physician in terms that are succinct, unambiguous, and helpful clinically. We recognize that the terminology used here is a flexible framework that can be modified by individual laboratories to meet the needs of their providers and the patients they serve.

Thyroid�fine needle aspiration�is one of the most commonly performed cytologic procedures and is the standard diagnostic method for managing the patient with a thyroid nodule.� Until now, there has been no uniform system for reporting the results of thyroid fine needle aspiration (FNA) in the U.S.

The terminology�described in this book is an important advance in the field of cytopathology. It�represents the results of the multidisciplinary National Cancer Institute Thyroid Fine Needle Aspiration State of The Science Conference, held in Bethesda, MD in October, 2007.

Where are the color pictures?

In a digital age is really a shame that this book's pictures are black & white. I thought that this thing was a feature from the past, when all books where b&W. They didn't take in consideration the i-pad and pc readers.

Pictures in black and white in a pathology book?! This is awful! I want my money back! Even the cover is black and white. How do you expect me to understand cytology with no colors at all?

buy the soft cover, not the kindle

from the reviews, it seems that the kindle edition is all still in black and white. i suggest buying the real book. the colors are crucial, and the minute detail are well seen on the actual book. I recommend this book for all students of pathology. It is written in the style of the first Bethesda book on cervical cytology.
